Andrew began learning the classical guitar at age 8 and continued to have lessons through school and university. His interest in guitar developed into playing acoustic and electric guitar. He took GCSE music at Manor C of E School, then gained an Advanced Diploma in Popular music and received a BMus in Music from The University of Sheffield. Andrew has been teaching and performing professionally in Yorkshire for over 20 years and uses this knowledge and experience to enrich his guitar lessons.
Andrew believes that learning a musical instrument should be an enjoyable experience, so he makes sure that lessons are fun and entertaining, while still having a structure towards progression and development. Andrew chooses appropriate books and materials for each pupil, so they have a guided advancement in their guitar playing. He can prepare pupils for music grades, but some prefer to learn for fun, which is totally fine.
Andrew’s guitar lessons are perfect for total beginners or pupils working upto grade 8. Lessons available for classical, acoustic and electric guitar. Bass guitar and ukulele.
