Matt is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist with industry experience in performance and studio work. He has a colourful background starting in the late 90s with cathedral choral singing and has played in various bands and ensembles ever since including UK and European tours.
Matt holds a BA(Hons) first class programme prize degree in Music from York St John University, a certificate in Japanese language, ABRSM grades in Piano, Singing and Theory and plays Guitar for a signed active heavy metal band.
Previous to primary school teaching starting in 2018, Matt worked in arts and support for adult mental health service users in higher education with a specialism in autism. He continues to have a relatable approach to primary school teaching with an eye on neurodiversity and values the life-long impact of positive first musical experiences.
Matt is available for school-based instrumental lessons and runs after school band clubs.
